The Who are an English rock band, they're known for their amazing live performances and crazy shows which often lead to the smashing of their instruments... The band was formed in 1964 by Pete Townshend (guitar), Roger Daltrey (vocals), Keith Moon (drums) and John Entwistle (bass). To date, The Who has sold over 100 million records in the UK and the United States alone. Their debut album My Generation was released 1965.
The Who later released : A Quick One (1966), The Who Sell Out (1967), Tommy (1969), Who's Next (1971), Quadrophenia (1973), The Who by Numbers (1975), Who Are You (1978).
The Who was getting to the top of the UK charts and rose to fame with these albums, and created a new sound of classic rock and roll.
Sadly in 1978, Keith Moon passed away at the age of 32 and The Who would change forever.
They released 2 more albums after Keith Moon's death : Face Dances (1981) and It's Hard (1982) before breaking up in 1983. Although they still played some occasional live performances, and actually released a final studio album Endless Wire in 2006
